In today’s Wellness Wednesday video I discuss mindfulness meditation vs a focused meditation. Mindfulness meditation may be easier for a lot of meditators starting out because it gives you something to do other than just trying to quiet your mind, which often can be frustrating, especially for beginner meditators.
Mindfulness meditation has been shown to reduce anxiety, stress, fatigue, depression and foster mind-body awareness, emotional well-being, empathy, compassion, increased mental strength, and focus, and has shown to alleviate PTSD and addictions, and the list goes on!
There is no doubt that modern science is quantifying what ancient teachings have shared for thousands of years. Mindfulness meditation might just be the “magic pill” for modern society…and it’s FREE!
